COURSE :
Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management,
Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition
(B.Sc.- HMCTAN)
Objective : The
Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Management, Catering
Technology and Applied Nutrition has been designed viewing
the growing need of the the hospitality industry and for
placing the Bachelor's Degree holders in hotels, motels,
fast food chains, tourism centres, resorts, vedic villages,
guest houses, religious places, pilgrimages, hostels,
adventure, medical, cultural, ethnobotanical, mountain and
sports tourism complexes in India as well as in the rest of
the world.
Eligibility : 10+2 in
any discipline or an equivalent qualification.

1st Year Rs. 17,125
2nd Year Rs. 16,000
3rd Year Rs. 16,000
Payment is to be made in
the name of "The Global Open University, Nagaland"
payable at Dimapur by
demand draft / banker's cheque only.
Completed applications along with all particulars including
four stamp sized photographs, copies of marks-sheets and
certificates and the first instalment of fee must reach the
Admissions Officer, The Global Open University, Youth Hostel
Complex, Dimapur, Nagaland by the selected candidates before
the last date of admission announced by the University.
Duration : Three
years. Intake : 120 seats
Selection : 50% of the seats are reserved for those
belonging to the State of Nagaland. Selection of candidates
will be based on written test / personal interview. The
State Governments in the North-Eastern Region are encouraged
to sponsor students with scholarships for enabling these
students to serve the respective State Governments after
they successfully complete their programmes.

Medium of Instruction :
The medium of instruction is English. Accordingly all
admitted students must have excellent knowledge and fluency
over English language so that they may be selected for final
placements in top hotels and related establishments in India
or in other countries of the world.
